Fall decor in the living-room

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Fall is definitely here ! Windy weather ... candles burning in the house ... wool blankets ... and nesting ! We expect visitors from France for the next couple of weeks (friends and family, I can't wait !), which means I'm in full "fall cleaning and decorating" mode. I've been painting the hallway and staircase, cleaning the carpet, and adding a few autumnal touches here and there to make our home cosy and welcoming !
I've found the the chunky wooden picture frame at Sainsbury's (say Hi to my gorgeous sister Gabrielle there !). I also bought this quirky stag pillow there and it is so retro... I love the English cottage feel it brings to the room.
The wool blanket was a gift from my parents from Ireland.
Although I am so looking forward to decorating for Christmas for the very first time in England, I am really enjoying autumn so far. And yes, it does rain sometimes around here, but not much more than the part of France I come from. There. I admit it. English weather isn't so bad. For now.
